The Design Build Plumbing Estimator is a full-time, hybrid role based in Indianapolis, IN, with some flexibility to work from home. This role is responsible for reviewing design documents, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate plumbing estimates for design-build projects. Typical tasks include performing quantity takeoffs, analyzing labor, material, and equipment costs, and preparing detailed proposals and budgets. The estimator collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to clarify scope, identify value-engineering opportunities, and support bid strategies.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date cost data, participating in pre-construction meetings, and assisting with subcontractor and vendor pricing to ensure competitive and complete estimates.

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and components, including pipe sizing and layout, and ability to interpret plumbing drawings and specifications.
• Experience with maintenance, maintenance & repair practices, and understanding of how these impact long-term project costs and design decisions.
• Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with internal teams, clients, and vendors in a professional manner.
• Prior experience as a plumbing estimator or in a related construction estimating role, preferably within design-build or MEP contracting.
• Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant construction and productivity tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing responsibilities both on-site in Indianapolis, IN and remotely.
