The Sales Estimator is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lenexa, KS, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for preparing detailed estimates for roofing and sheet metal projects, including reviewing plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine materials, labor, and timelines. Day-to-day tasks include communicating with prospective and existing customers, conducting site visits, developing proposals, and following up to secure new business.

The Sales Estimator collaborates with project managers and production teams to ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project requirements. The role also involves maintaining CRM records, supporting business development efforts, and providing professional customer service throughout the sales cycle.

• Strong customer service and communication skills to engage clients, understand project needs, and provide clear, professional guidance.
• Demonstrated sales and business development abilities to generate leads, build relationships, and close opportunities.
• Experience with project estimation, including reviewing drawings, assessing site conditions, and calculating materials and labor for roofing projects.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams, manage multiple estimates simultaneously, and prioritize deadlines effectively.
• Familiarity with roofing systems, construction practices, or related trades is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM tools) and comfort working in a hybrid office/field/home environment.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant experience in estimating, sales, or construction; a technical or business-related degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
