LB Contract Supply is hiring a Commercial Project Lead to own a portfolio of commercial projects from estimating through closeout.

This is not a traditional construction Project Manager position.

LB may have 40–50 active projects at different stages, with installation occurring in phases over many months. Our Operations team and field leadership manage crews, scheduling, and installation execution.

The Commercial Project Lead owns the project details, customer relationship, commercial requirements, and milestones that keep the work moving.

• Review plans, specifications, schedules, and bid requirements.
• Prepare estimates, proposals, revisions, and change orders.
• Complete submittals and obtain required approvals.
• Maintain accurate scope, pricing, exclusions, and project documentation.
• Turn awarded work over to Operations with the information needed for successful execution.
• Track project milestones and upcoming requirements.
• Coordinate with Operations on measurements, procurement, scheduling, installation punch, and closeout.
• Maintain proactive communication with general contractors, owners, and project teams.
• Identify issues before they delay work or create unnecessary cost.
• Monitor project economics and protect gross margin.
• Support billing and closeout requirements.
• Maintain the next required action for every assigned project.
• Build customer trust through reliable execution and help generate repeat opportunities.

You may own 40–50 projects simultaneously
, but not every project requires attention every day.

The key is knowing:

Our processes are designed so routine field execution is handled by Operations and strong field leadership.

When something falls outside the normal process, you are expected to get into the details, solve the issue, and help move the project forward.

Strong candidates may come from commercial flooring, contract furniture, glazing, millwork, doors and hardware, specialty subcontracting, construction coordination, estimating, or similar industries.

Direct window-covering experience is not required

LB uses technology and AI to support estimating, project management, communication, documentation, and process improvement.

You must be comfortable learning new systems and using approved AI tools as part of your daily work.

This position is based in Madison and may require approximately one overnight trip per week
, depending on project needs.

A successful Commercial Project Lead can independently:

bid the opportunity → win the work → complete the submittal process → turn the project over for execution → maintain milestones and customer communication → protect the economics → close the job → earn the next opportunity.
