If so, we want you on our team at Perspective Pictures.

We’re looking for talented Senior Video Editors / Colourists to help create some of the best content on the internet — and play a key role in building our post‑production team in Cape Town.

This is a fully remote contractor role (initially), offering flexibility and the chance to work with a dynamic, fast‑growing creative agency.

• Editing a wide range of content — high‑end branded films, fast‑paced social content, doc‑style pieces, and creative campaigns.
• Colour grading in DaVinci Resolve to deliver cinematic, consistent, brand‑safe looks.
• Working closely with directors, producers, creatives, and editors across multiple time zones.
• Enhancing visuals through advanced colour workflows (HDR, ACES, matching multi‑cam, shot balancing, etc.).
• Building tight, dynamic edits that elevate narrative, pacing, and emotion.
• Prepping projects for smooth handovers between edit, grade, and audio.

• Expert‑level editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro (or Resolve).
• Fluent in DaVinci Resolve colour grading workflows, including node‑based correction, secondary grading, and advanced look development.
• Strong understanding of digital filmmaking, cameras, codecs, LUTs, and colour science.
• Experience working with high‑end formats (RED, Sony FX, Blackmagic, Pro Res, etc.).
• A strong reel showcasing a mix of long‑form, short‑form, commercial, and narrative work.
• Experience with dynamic online content pacing and social‑first formats.
• Comfortable working in Lucid Link / Frame.io / Slack / G‑Drive / Parsec.
• High attention to detail and obsessive quality control on final deliveries.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and own projects from brief to delivery.
• An interest in new AI tools / AI‑assisted workflows is a plus.
• Up to date on creative trends, editing styles, and emerging visual aesthetics.

• Lead editing and grading for assigned projects, delivering final polished films.
• Collaborate efficiently with remote directors, producers, designers, and sound team.
• Provide creative input on storytelling, pacing, visuals, and overall direction.
• Attend client reviews, edit sessions, and internal meetings when needed.
• Maintain organised projects, backups, folder structures, and delivery pipelines.
• Contribute to building best practices and workflows for the Cape Town post team.
