Video Editor

Responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished product that is polished, engaging, and ready for publishing. They work closely with videographer, project manager, and other team members to achieve the desired creative vision.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw video footage into a coherent and visually appealing final product
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
• Add music, dialogues, graphics, effects, and sound to enhance video quality
• Insert subtitles, voice-overs, or narration where required
• Collaborate with the creative team to understand project goals and requirements
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth transitions
• Review and revise edits based on feedback
• Stay updated with the latest video editing software and trends
• Manage and organize media assets and project files
• Export videos in various formats optimized for web, social media, or broadcast

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Film Production, Multimedia, or related field (optional but preferred)
• Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
• Strong understanding of timing, pacing, and storytelling in editing
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and creative flair
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics or animation
• Familiarity with color grading and audio editing
