This opportunity is for a talented composer to create an original score for a short film, M.A.C.Y., a sci‑fi punk rock coming‑of‑age story. The film follows a teenage cyborg on the run from a government robot, blending high‑energy action with emotional depth. The finished film will be under 10 minutes, requiring 4 to 6 minutes of original music. The project is intended for submission to film festivals and competitions nationwide.
The work is fully remote, with a delivery deadline of March 1st.
- Compose and produce 4–6 minutes of original music tailored to the film’s sci‑fi punk rock tone and narrative arc
- Collaborate closely with the filmmaker to ensure the score enhances key emotional and action‑driven moments
- Deliver high‑quality audio files in the required format for post‑production integration
- Revise compositions based on feedback to achieve the desired mood and pacing
- Meet all project deadlines, with final delivery by March 1st
- Demonstrated experience composing original music for film, short‑form content, or similar media
- Strong ability to create dynamic, genre‑appropriate scores (sci‑fi, punk rock, coming‑of‑age)
