Position: Creative Copywriter (6-month contract)

Overview

We are looking for a Creative Copywriter (Freelance) to join We Are Social in Dubai.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
  • Write high-quality, original copy across social captions, scripts, campaign copy, manifestos, and long- and short-form content.
  • Lead copy and editorial thinking across always-on content, campaigns, and pitches, shaping ideas through language and storytelling.
  • Develop and maintain strong, distinctive brand voices and narratives across social and wider brand touchpoints.
  • Apply deep understanding of social platforms, internet culture, creators, and trends to ensure work feels current, relevant, and platform-native.
  • Adapt copy for different platforms and formats including Reels, Tik Toks, Stories, static, and video while protecting the core creative idea.
  • Translate client objectives into clear editorial direction and copy-led ideas that deliver against brand and business goals.
  • Work closely in a copy-art duo with designers, demonstrating strong visual literacy and collaboration.
  • Present ideas and copy clearly and confidently, and collaborate with Creative, Strategy, Media, and wider teams across multiple brands.
Qualifications (What We Look For)
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating copywriting craft, creative thinking, and social/cultural awareness.
  • Proven experience writing for social platforms and social-first campaigns.
  • Excellent writing skills across tones, formats, and industries.
  • Deep understanding of platform mechanics, formats, and best practices.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Curiosity for culture, creators, and how people engage with content today.
