The ideal candidate will be open to creative direction and feedback, and passionate about delivering high-quality artwork that aligns with the narrative’s tone and setting.
Deliverables- Illustrate and finalize artwork for a 120-page graphic novel, ensuring consistency in style and quality throughout
- Collaborate closely with the author to interpret and visually represent the established source material
- Incorporate feedback and revisions as needed to achieve the desired artistic vision
- Prepare artwork files for print and digital formats, adhering to technical specifications
- Meet agreed-upon deadlines and maintain clear communication throughout the project
- Proven experience in graphic novel or comic illustration, with a portfolio showcasing relevant work
- Strong drawing, composition, and storytelling skills, particularly in fantasy and historical genres
- Ability to take direction, accept constructive criticism, and work collaboratively
- Proficiency with digital illustration tools and file preparation for print
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering polished, professional artwork
Availability for ongoing communication and potential follow-up work - Interest or familiarity with West African culture and history is a plus
