The RoleContent creator and strategist for USTA mission‑focused content (Community Tennis, USTA Coaching, People + Culture, etc.) across USTA‑owned and operated social media channels. Responsible for identifying and creating compelling content that drives conversation and engagement around our USTA brands and initiatives. Please note that this position will not focus on the direct coverage of Pro Tennis tournaments.
- Create and publish platform‑specific USTA mission‑focused content while ensuring brand voice is maintained across USTA Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok.
- Follow social media best practices by platform; optimize content for each social platform in terms of sizing, relevance, and timing.
- Work collaboratively with fellow content creators and take part in regular brainstorming and pitch sessions.
- Work with the broader Content Team to create unique content around key initiatives and, as events unfold in real‑time, project‑manage social‑specific asset creation.
- Maintain quality control procedures and ensure all copy is fact‑checked and images are brand‑appropriate while adhering to brand standards and established voice across platforms.
- Ensure all content is properly tagged (handles, tracking tags, hashtags, geolocation, etc.) and correct links are used.
- Help grow reach and engagement across USTA social media platforms, and leverage data to make or adjust content for improved performance.
- Stay abreast of daily topical news and trends as they relate to tennis, pop culture, travel, and lifestyle.
- Identify emerging platforms for content opportunities.
- Support the development and training of third‑party resources and demonstrate a positive and passionate attitude.
- 3+ years of experience in social media and/or digital marketing.
- Strong content editing and creation skills, utilizing Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Content Management Systems.
- Strength in storytelling and creative activation across social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Tik Tok.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work creatively and efficiently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledgeable about the sport of tennis, health/wellness, and entertainment/pop culture.
- Available to work nights and weekends as needed.
- This position is designated as hybrid/flex in Orlando and may allow for both remote and on‑site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements as updated from time to time. Please consult HR for the most current policy.
