Founded in 2012, Invisible North is a female-owned creative marketing agency headquartered in NYC with global reach. We are seeking a 3D Experiential Designer to join our team! The 3D Experiential Designer will be responsible for collaborating on projects from proposal through execution, transforming creative ideas into tangible, executable experiences through 2D & 3D designs. Additionally, this role will positively contribute to making Invisible North’s culture an envy of the industry, a studio that turns out jaw dropping creative and design and does so by upholding an inclusive, flexible and giving work environment.
While our main office is located in DUMBO Brooklyn, we work as a distributed team with members reaching from Maine to California, and everywhere in between. This position is full-time, hybrid (NYC) or remote, and should expect to work on ET hours.
Participating in full project scope from initial concept through execution including:
- Concepting, brainstorming and idea generation
- Mood boarding with tonality, materiality, and overarching design aesthetics
- Ability to think big-picture, while also dialed-in to the small details
- Creating floor plans/elevations/mockups/diagrams/3D renders befitting of the project budget
- Creating production and mechanical files for print and scenic elements
- Overseeing installation of scenic elements on-site as needed
Team collaboration:
- Working collectively with a team of other designers and creatives to achieve cohesive creative concepts and ideas
- Working with our account managers, producers, and strategists to meet client goals
Partnering with our in-house production team to:
- Communicate with production vendors (print, fabrication, digital), ensuring all designs are produced with integrity and on budget
- Concept & brainstorm for proposals
- Experience at an agency or in-house with a focus on spatial/environmental design
- Ability to work across 2D & 3D design and proficiency in a variety of design programs
- 3D:
Modeling software and rendering skills (Sketch Up/Rhino preferred, + Enscape or similar rendering software. Cinema 4D, Unreal, Blender skills are nice to have) - Fluency in collaborative work platforms like the Google Workspace (especially Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets)
- Educational background in Environmental/Exhibition Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design or related field is a plus, but not required
- Extremely organized & excellent time management
- Able to successfully work remotely during EST hours, or from our NYC office if desired
- Able to travel to project locations and the IN Office as needed
- Availability to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed for specific projects (and to be made up with compensatory time off)
Full Time salary: $75,000 - $85,000/yr
