• Write, edit, and publish a high volume of news and culture content daily, including breaking stories and reported features
• Edit copy quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
• Collaborate with editorial, audio, and social teams for cohesive coverage across platforms
• Identify and elevate emerging stories relevant to Black audiences
• Monitor audience response to inform coverage and editorial decisions

• 1–3 years of experience in digital journalism, web producing, or content creation
• Strong writing and editing skills with sound editorial judgment
• Familiarity with CMS publishing tools and basic image editing software
• Working knowledge of SEO, tagging, and content optimization best practices
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field preferred but not required with strong experience
• Proven experience publishing or promoting content on social media platforms
