- Write, edit, and publish a high volume of news and culture content daily
- Collaborate closely with editorial, audio, and social teams for cohesive coverage
- Identify and elevate emerging stories relevant to Black audiences
- Package stories with compelling headlines and visuals for web and social media
- Monitor performance and audience response to inform editorial decisions
- 1–3 years of experience in digital journalism, web producing, or content creation
- Proven experience writing and editing online content, including articles and social copy
- Familiarity with CMS publishing tools and basic image editing
- Working knowledge of SEO, tagging, and content optimization best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field preferred
- A strong writer and editor with sound editorial judgment
- Genuine love of news, current events, and cultural conversation
- Experience publishing or promoting content on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and X
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative communicator who works well across teams and disciplines
