Position: Remote Volunteer Virtual Events Host (Part Time)

Purpose of role:
To act as the face of SkilledUp Life’s virtual events by managing pre-event planning, live event hosting, and post-event engagement. The Virtual Event Host ensures smooth, professional, and engaging experiences for attendees while supporting SkilledUp Life’s mission of community development and global visibility.

Key activities:
Set up and schedule events across platforms (LinkedIn, Eventbrite, Luma, TikTok, Twitter/X, WithFriends, Facebook).
Promote upcoming events through platform-tailored content and multi-channel posting.
Create promotional materials (flyers, event banners) using Canva.
Host and moderate live events, including talent sessions, founder spotlights, and Q&As.
Introduce speakers, facilitate transitions, and engage the audience using live tools.
Monitor event chat, support Q&A sessions, and troubleshoot basic technical issues during events.
Collaborate with marketing and leadership (e.g., Manoj, Godwin) to strategize on event impact.
Gather post-event feedback, maintain attendance data, and suggest improvements.

Position Requirements
High School, 1+ Years work experience
What We Will Need From You
  • Plan, schedule, and promote virtual events across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Eventbrite, Luma, TikTok, X/Twitter, WithFriends, Facebook).

  • Host and moderate live events, including speaker introductions, Q&As, and audience engagement.
  • Monitor event chat, support Q&A sessions, and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership to maximize event impact.
  • Collect post-event feedback, track attendance, and suggest improvements.
Skills Required
  • Strong live hosting and public speaking skills.
  • Familiarity with virtual event platforms and streaming tools.
  • Basic design skills for promotional content (Canva).
  • Audience engagement and moderation abilities.
  • Organization and time management for event planning and execution.
  • Collaboration and communication skills to work with marketing and leadership teams.
