Overview

Network Broadcast Producer & Fill-In Host Good Karma Brands is looking for a Network Broadcast Producer & Fill-In Host who thrives in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment, brings strong technical expertise, and is passionate about delivering high-quality sports and entertainment programming. This teammate will play a key role in engineering live broadcasts for the Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks, supporting daily and specialty programming, and stepping in as a producer and on-air host as needed.

Daily Tasks of a Network Broadcast Producer & Fill-In Host
  • Engineer live radio broadcasts for Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks games in accordance with Good Karma Brands’ technical, audio, and brand standards.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot broadcast equipment for remote and on-site productions, including audio consoles, microphones, IFB systems, codecs, and transmission paths.
  • Monitor audio levels, signal flow, and transmission reliability during live events to ensure a consistent, high-quality listener experience across GKB Milwaukee platforms.
  • Collaborate with producers, on-air talent, and operations staff to execute pregame, in-game, and postgame coverage.
  • Provide real-time technical problem-solving in fast-paced, live broadcast environments.
  • Support additional GKB Milwaukee programming, including interviews, features, and special event coverage.
Fill-In Producing Responsibilities
  • Serve as fill-in producer across GKB Milwaukee stations as needed, supporting daily shows, live events, and specialty programming.
  • Build and manage show rundowns, clocks, and segment timing to ensure smooth, on-brand broadcasts.
  • Coordinate with on-air talent, engineers, and digital teams to execute content across radio and digital platforms.
  • Book guests, prep show materials, and assist with topic development in alignment with station and brand objectives.
  • Maintain broadcast compliance, accuracy, and quality control standards.
Fill-In Host Responsibilities
  • Serve as fill-in on-air host for programming across Good Karma Brands Milwaukee platforms.
  • Deliver engaging, informed live commentary consistent with GKB’s audience-first brand voice.
  • Host pregame, postgame, and specialty programming while maintaining pacing, timing, and show flow.
  • Conduct interviews with players, coaches, and guests, integrating prepared content with live reactions.
  • Represent Good Karma Brands Milwaukee, the station, and partner teams professionally on air and at live events.

Preferred knowledge, skills, and qualifications
  • Working knowledge of live radio broadcast engineering, including remote and on-site sports productions.
  • Hands-on experience with broadcast audio equipment such as audio consoles, microphones, IFB systems, codecs, and transmission paths.
  • Ability to monitor and manage audio levels, signal flow, and transmission reliability in real time.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly in live, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience producing radio programming, including building show rundowns, managing clocks, and maintaining segment timing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with on-air talent, producers, engineers, and digital teammates.
  • Flexibility to work nontraditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by live sports schedules.
