What is Middle of Six?

Middle of Six is a woman‑owned, women‑led marketing consulting firm focused on the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. We leverage our experience as in‑house A/E/C marketers to support our clients with on‑call resources which most often include proposal management, interview coaching, website development, branding, marketing collateral development, strategic planning, and graphic design. Our work has been recognized by the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) both regionally and nationally.

About the Role

We are looking for a graphic designer to add depth and enthusiasm to our growing team. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional graphic design skills, confidence in presenting and communicating creative ideas, proven attention to detail and project organization, and an energetic, flexible work style. A passion for AEC marketing in a deadline‑driven, team‑centered environment with the hustle and heart required to deliver success is key.

The primary focus of the graphic designer is developing strong visual communications to support our clients’ marketing efforts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and/or following brand guidelines and creating unique visual assets for a variety of clients
  • Developing graphics for client statements of qualifications (SOQs), proposals, award submittals, and presentations
  • Developing content for social media, websites, brochures, infographics, case studies, blogs, and other marketing vehicles
  • Ensuring document quality via proofreading and consistent use of company standards
  • Supporting the coordination/preparation for marketing‑related functions such as meetings, conventions/trade shows, special events, industry activities, and campaigns, including virtual participation
  • Supporting the team in maintaining a social media presence

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design preferred or equivalent field of study
  • Minimum four years’ professional experience in graphic design and visual communication
  • Minimum two years’ experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry
  • Proficiency in using marketing and presentation software, including Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop at a minimum)
  • Working knowledge in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and One Note), and social media/web platforms (Linked In, Instagram, Wix, Word Press, etc.)
  • Strong graphic design and print production skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in both a remote and in‑person team environment, meet deadlines, and efficiently prioritize work while adapting to our clients’ working styles
