Events Manager

Type: Full-time

About Hampton

Hampton is a private network for high-growth founders running tech-enabled companies with $3M+ in revenue. Our founders are ambitious builders who are scaling successful companies while also seeking meaningful conversations, leadership growth, and world-class peer connections.

The Hampton Events Team organizes in-person events across 13 cities. Some examples include a private Macallan experience in LA, an SF speaker event with the founder of Mercury, and a butchery class in Austin. As we double down on being in-person, we’re looking to take our events to the next level and design truly only-in-Hampton experiences.

The Role

We’re hiring a full-time Events Manager to help design and deliver Hampton’s in-person experiences, from intimate dinners to expert speaker events to adventures our members will talk about for years.

This role will focus on producing and executing Hampton events across the West Coast. You’ll partner closely with our Head of Events to plan, coordinate, and deliver top-tier experiences that bring our community together and reflect Hampton’s high standard of taste, execution, and hospitality.

The ideal candidate combines exceptional operational precision with creative instinct. Someone who can scout the perfect private dining venue in Austin one day and troubleshoot AV at an SF event the next. You’re equal parts organized producer, creative thinker, and thoughtful host.

This role will require occasional travel across West Coast cities for Hampton member events.

Key Responsibilities Event Research & Vendor Sourcing 40%
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with venues, speakers, and vendors who align with Hampton’s quality and brand aesthetic.
  • Maintain an updated database of trusted partners, including venues, caterers, photographers, and experience vendors.
  • Research emerging hospitality trends and experiences to keep Hampton’s events fresh and differentiated.
Event Coordination & Execution 30%
  • Manage pre-event logistics: venue holds, vendor contracts, speaker prep, guest list coordination, and run of shows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Member Success, Tech, and Core) to ensure all event touchpoints reflect a high‑end member experience.
  • Track event budgets, expenses, and ROI metrics to maintain efficiency and excellence.
Experience Design 10%
  • Collaborate with the Head of Events on creative programming ideas.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Hampton’s experience playbook, refining how we translate our brand into every city and every event.
Marketing & Communications 20%
  • Draft engaging event communications that drive RSVPs, including email invites, Slack posts, and newsletter blurbs.
  • Capture post‑event highlights and feedback to share wins with internal and member audiences.
You are probably a fit if you are:
  • 2-4 years of experience in events, experiential marketing, or community management, ideally working in startups, hospitality, or founder‑driven environments.
  • You’ve planned and executed multiple events at once, managing budgets, timelines, and vendors with precision.
  • Deep understanding of what makes an experience exceptional, from pre‑event touchpoints to the feeling guests have as they leave.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail‑oriented, with strong project‑management skills.
  • A clear communicator, you keep everyone informed and are calm under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor‑management abilities; you know how to get quality results within budget.
  • Tech‑savvy with tools like Notion, Airtable, Asana, Slack, and Google Workspace.
  • Team‑oriented but independent, you thrive when trusted to run with something, but know when to loop others in.
  • An instinct for brand alignment and aesthetic consistency, you notice details others miss.
Bonus points for…
  • Experience in operations, venture platform, hospitality, or other client‑facing, membership, or community roles.
  • Strong marketing experience.
  • Being on top of emerging trends.
  • Comfortable with founder/startup lingo.

This role reports to the Head of Events and is full-time and remote, with occasional travel.

Compensation & Perks
  • $110k–$120k salary depending on experience
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Opportunity to design and attend some of the most exciting founder events in the country
