Gal Meets Glam, Inc. (dba Julia Berolzheimer) is seeking an experienced Photo and Video Editor to join our creative team. Julia Berolzheimer is a fashion, beauty, and travel lifestyle brand that was started as a blog in 2011. With a monthly readership of over 250,000 women and social following in the millions, women all over the world come to Julia Berolzheimer for inspiration.
We pride ourselves on continually exceeding follower expectations, which has been a key driver in the growth of both our business and readership.
To continue this momentum, we are looking to add a talented editor who excels at both photo and video editing. This individual contributor role focuses on creating polished, on-brand visual assets across our photography and video content. You will work with our creative and content teams to deliver high-quality, cohesive content that aligns with our distinguished aesthetic while maintaining efficient workflows during our peak seasons.
Responsibilities and Duties- Photo Editing:
Edit visual assets for the website, email, Substack, and social platforms using Lightroom, maintaining consistent color grading and style. - Video Editing:
Edit short-form videos for Instagram and longer-form video content using Cap Cut, Descriptive, and/or other professional video editing tools. - Workflow Management:
Manage and improve editing workflows for high-quality, on-brand imagery and video, emphasizing both efficiency and speed, especially during peak travel and shooting seasons. - Asset
Collaboration:
Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and team members to source raw images and footage, then finalize edited assets for publication. - Brand Consistency:
Ensure all visual content aligns with the brand's cohesive aesthetic, guidelines, tone, and messaging across all platforms. - Project Management:
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain an organized library of assets for easy access. - Creative Input:
Provide creative input during brainstorming sessions for campaigns and seasonal initiatives. - Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with the content team, including collaborating with the Senior Social Content Producer on video projects. - Other duties as assigned
Experience:
- 3+ years of photo editing experience (core requirement)
- Demonstrated video editing experience with professional-level tools
- Proven ability to adapt to and execute different editing styles and brand aesthetics
Skills:
- Photo Editing:
Proficiency in Lightroom and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) - Video Editing:
Proficiency in Cap Cut, Descriptive, and/or other professional video editing software - Social Media Tools:
Familiarity with social media platforms and content optimization for Instagram, Substack, and web - Technical Aptitude:
Ability to manage large files, organize asset libraries, and troubleshoot technical issues - Color & Composition:
Strong understanding of lighting, color theory, composition, and editing techniques for both photography and video

- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field (Film, Photography, Graphic Design, Marketing, or similar)
- Experience working with other photographers
- Experience working with luxury lifestyle, fashion, or travel brands
- Experience with Instagram Reels, short-form video content, and long-form You Tube-style videos
- Familiarity with project management tools and asset management systems
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative creative environment
