Position Summary
The Staff Producer is a critical extension of the Head of Production, designed for an experienced Line Producer who can independently manage bids and productions end-to-end. This role partners closely with leadership to ensure creative intent is protected and elevated through every phase of production, while maintaining alignment, consistency, and a high bar for production quality across all work.
You’ll own day-to-day execution on assigned projects - building and managing production budgets, running timelines, and leading freelance teams while keeping the Head of Production and Executive Producers looped in for strategic oversight, approvals, and final submissions. This role requires strong creative judgment, an eye for detail and craft, and the ability to translate creative vision into well-executed, high-quality production outcomes.

- Independently manage assigned productions from bidding through final wrap, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the expected creative and operational standard.
- Build comprehensive production budgets and bid materials, including schedules, service bids, and supporting documentation, aligned with creative intent and business goals.
- Partner closely with the Head of Production and Executive Producers to align on approach, scope, and strategy across bids and active projects.
- Run point on pre-production planning, production execution, and wrap, proactively flagging risks and proposing solutions.
- Hire, supervise, and collaborate with freelance production teams, and crew.
- Maintain strong oversight of union and non-union productions, ensuring compliance at every stage.
- Maintain a strong rolodex and network of Key Crew hires in New York City and other secondary markets.
- Partner and collaborate with directors in production to elevate creative output.
- Coordinate closely with Post Production to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity from production through delivery.
- Prepare accurate, timely wrap documents, cost reports, and post-production handoff materials.
- Maintain a high level of organization and professionalism across all production documents and communications.
- Actively participate in daily production meetings, contributing insights related to scope, feasibility, and resourcing.
- Help maintain and evolve internal production systems, templates, and documentation in Notion, Dropbox, Google Drive, and related tools.
- Support Executive Producers and the Head of Production on higher-level initiatives, overflow projects, or complex productions as needed.
- Projects are scoped accurately and delivered efficiently from bid through wrap.
- Budgets and production materials are clear, thoughtful, and reliable.
- Creative teams, clients, and directors feel supported and confident throughout production.
- Freelance teams are well-managed and set up for success.
