Are you passionate about community connection and have a knack for design and communication? We're seeking a virtual Newsletter Assistant Volunteer to help us create engaging newsletters and event updates for our community. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your skills, gain experience with popular design and email marketing tools, and connect with our mission from anywhere!
Responsibilities- Content Curation & Design:
Work with our team to gather content (text, images, links) for two newsletters per month and any urgent event updates. You'll use Canva to design visually appealing and on‑brand layouts. - Email Delivery:
Import content and designs into Mailchimp and schedule/send the newsletters and event updates to our subscriber list. - Audience Engagement:
Ensure all communications are clear, concise, and encourage community engagement. - Collaboration:
Communicate regularly with our team to ensure deadlines are met and content is accurate and timely.
- Proficiency in Canva:
Demonstrated ability to create professional and attractive designs using Canva. - Familiarity with Mailchimp:
Basic understanding of how to use Mailchimp or a similar email marketing platform. - Strong Communication
Skills:
Excellent written communication and attention to detail. - Creativity:
An eye for design and the ability to present information in an engaging way. - Reliability & Organization:
Ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks independently in a virtual environment. - Internet Access:
Reliable internet connection and access to a computer.
- Approximately 5 to 10 hours every two weeks, flexible to accommodate our publication schedule of two newsletters per month and additional event updates as needed.
