Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Corporate Event Manager (Travel Role)

Note: Because of the weekly travel requirement, you must live within close proximity to a major US airport
.

Kodi Connect hosts exclusive, invitation‑only networking events for senior executives in cybersecurity, IT, and technology leadership. Our events are intentionally small and curated (typically capped at 25 executives) to create meaningful discussions between leaders from Fortune 1000 organizations.

Hosted in premium venues across the United States, each event brings together decision‑makers to exchange ideas, discuss industry challenges, and build valuable professional relationships in a relaxed but highly professional environment.

We are a fast‑growing company with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality events. Our team is small, driven, and collaborative, and every event requires people who are dependable, professional, and take real ownership of their work.

About the Role

We are seeking a Corporate Event Manager (Travel Role) to travel weekly across the United States (typically Wednesday–Friday) and represent Kodi Connect at our executive events.

This is a hands‑on role where you will be responsible for running events onsite. You’ll coordinate directly with hotel teams, ensure the room is prepared correctly, welcome and engage senior executives, guide the schedule and table rotations, and make sure every guest has an outstanding experience.

You will be the face of Kodi Connect during events — confidently hosting the room, speaking with attendees and sponsors, and ensuring everything runs smoothly and professionally.

When not traveling, you will work remotely to support event planning, venue coordination, community engagement, and marketing initiatives that help grow the Kodi Connect executive network.

We’re looking for someone who is confident, organized, detail‑oriented, and motivated to take real ownership of events while contributing to the continued growth of a successful and ambitious company. This role suits a natural leader who enjoys taking responsibility, making decisions, and ensuring things are executed to a high standard. You’ll be joining a small, high‑performing team where the right person can make a significant impact on both the quality of our events and the growth of the Kodi Connect community.

What

You’ll Do Core Travel & Event Responsibilities
  • Travel up to weekly to US cities (Wed–Fri typical)—should be flexible with this, as there are times when less travel is required
  • Arrive early to work with venue staff on setup, signage, AV, and catering
  • Run registration, seating, and event flow; keep everything on time
  • Welcome and engage confidently with senior executives and sponsors as they arrive
  • Open the evening with a short welcome explaining the event format and schedule
  • Act as Kodi Connect’s host for the room—guiding table rotations, making announcements, and keeping the atmosphere professional and engaging
  • Confidently speak to the room when needed to keep the event moving smoothly
  • Gather live feedback from attendees and share it with the team
  • Take charge onsite—manage setup and ensure the venue (5‑star hotel) team know how you want the event
Planning & Remote Work (Between Events) - Event and Marketing Tasks
  • Coordinate directly with hotels and venue teams ahead of events—confirming room setup, AV, signage, and event flow
  • Prepare banquet event orders (BEOs) and ensure venues clearly understand the event format and timing
  • Build relationships with hotel teams and help identify potential new venues for future events
  • Assist in preparing event sheets, updating & printing materials, and coordinating venue/vendor details
  • Support marketing and community growth initiatives across the company
  • Speak regularly with executives in our community to gather insights, feedback, and ideas
  • Conduct short guest conversations or interviews that can be used as content for our website and marketing
  • Help generate ideas and content that strengthen the Kodi Connect brand and executive community
  • Reach out to potential media partners, publishing companies, and industry organizations to explore collaborations
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships that help expand our reach and credibility in the technology…
