Overview
We're looking for a Mid‑to‑Senior level Designer who brings both creative restlessness and strategic clarity to the work: someone who can shape a brand identity from the earliest sketch through final execution.
Position OverviewThis role sits at the center of Capsule's creative output. Day to day, you'll be developing brand and visual identities across a wide range of industries, scales, and challenges.
You'll work closely with strategists and writers to shape client visual narratives that are as thoughtful as they are distinctive, and you'll be expected to present and advocate for your work with confidence. You'll also contribute to Capsule's brand, helping package client stories and develop marketing assets.
We're flexible on years of experience. What matters more is the strength of your portfolio and your ability to lead projects with independence and purpose. Experience in digital design and packaging is a genuine plus.
About YouYou are a creative thinker whose imagination stays grounded in the purpose. You don't just make things look good, but you understand why the decisions you're making solve the challenge. You hold your work to a high standard and bring genuine curiosity to every new category, challenge, or client you encounter.
You're equally comfortable running independently on a project as you are working in close collaboration with a team. You communicate your ideas clearly and take feedback constructively, knowing that the best work usually improves through honest dialogue.

Capsule is a Special Projects Agency founded the year Prince became famous in Minneapolis.
Our refusal to limit our work to one specific industry, combined with the satisfaction we find from solving problems that others won’t touch with ten‑foot poles, has earned us trusted relationships with brands large and small to explore and solve their meatiest design, brand and marketing challenges.
With over two and a half decades of working for clients across a variety of industries and needs, we specialize in helping brands create and evolve. We’ve crafted a new form of chocolate, named a fresh cultivar of an apple and built a cannabis seltzer from the ground up. We’ve lifted the shroud from the future of death care, dove into the happiest and healthiest places on earth and examined the intricacies of the hang tag.
We’ve helped a legacy shoe brand further spread its wings, transitioned a once discount flooring retailer to a more premium footing and branded an entire region of the Midwest.
We have grown alongside brands like Patagonia, Hydro Flask, Red Wing Shoes, Herman Miller, Curaleaf and Osprey, becoming a strategic partner and multi‑purpose tool to solve any special project that comes our way.
