The Digital Content Creator, Social and Video role complements our external agency partners by capturing authentic stories across the university. It is a video‑first role, with a strong emphasis on capturing, editing, and producing short‑form video content for platforms such as Tik Tok, Instagram Reels, and You Tube Shorts, while also supporting the creation of social graphics and other digital content.
As the embedded presence of the marketing team, this person will be responsible for uncovering stories, creating content, and building relationships across the university to bring Post’s story to life. This individual will work closely with our Marketing Social Media Strategist and in collaboration with the Associate Experience team’s strategic leadership. This is a hybrid position with some remote work and some days on‑site.
- Act as the embedded presence of the marketing team, actively identifying and capturing stories, events, and student experiences
- Conduct interviews with students, associates, and community members to bring forward authentic stories
- Work closely with marketing and PR teams to ensure content aligns with strategic goals and priorities
- Create high volumes of short‑form video content for platforms such as Tik Tok, Instagram Reels, and You Tube Shorts
- Own the full video production process, including ideation, filming, editing, and preparing content for publishing
- Capture content in real time, with a focus on authentic, in‑the‑moment storytelling
- Create supporting social graphics and static content to complement video‑first storytelling
- Be comfortable both behind the camera and on camera as a forward‑facing creator
- Work closely with the Marketing Social Media Strategist and external agency partners to enhance planned content with authentic storytelling
- Act as a social media journalist, uncovering student, associate, and community stories
- Flag relevant themes, standout stories, or potential issues to broader teams
- Attend and capture content at key university events such as orientation, athletics, and homecoming
- Create and manage content for The Nest in collaboration with Associate Experience leadership
- Ensure internal audiences are informed and engaged
- Provide input into content strategy based on university activity
- Collaborate on social media and The Nest content calendars
- Work with marketing, communications, and campus teams
- Collaborate with external agency partners
- Track and share insights on content performance
- Identify trends and recommend improvements
- Provide guidance to subpage owners including Athletics and Campus Life
- Ensure alignment with Post’s brand standards
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and trends
- Strong video production skills including filming and editing
- Proficiency in Cap Cut, Premiere, Final Cut, or similar
- Experience creating social graphics and supporting visual content
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging video content
- Comfortable being on camera
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build relationships across the university community
- Highly organized and adaptable
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Portfolio of video work required
- Spanish language fluency is a plus
- A consistent stream of high‑quality, video‑first content
- Increased visibility of student and university stories
- Improved content quality and alignment across channels
- Strong engagement and performance across social platforms
Monday‑Friday. Night and weekends when needed for event coverage.
