Role OverviewWe’re searching for a Remote Experienced Seamstress to supplement our sewing needs over the next 2-3 months. We are looking for someone available between 10 - 20 hours a week with a particular focus on commercial sewing and fabrication techniques with accuracy and efficiency. Flexible hours and 100% remote.
We will consider non-employed independent contractor arrangements if appropriately self-employed. This is a work-from-home opportunity and must be based in South Florida. Must have an industrial sewing machine, including single needle, double-needle cover stitch, and serger/overlock. Flatlock and buttonhole machines would be a valuable addition.
Key Responsibilities- Must have access to a dedicated cutting table or sufficient workspace to accurately lay out and cut fabric patterns, ensuring precision in garment and product construction.
- Professional use of an industrial sewing machine to make new samples, or to make requested modifications to uniform garments.
- Checks patterns for errors or inaccuracies and provides feedback on construction difficulties from a production standpoint.
- Giving concise feedback on the construction of garments from a manufacturing standpoint.
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused.
- Well-versed in industrial sewing machines.
- Salary based on experience. The pay range is $20 to $25 per hour.
