Fit Model (Infant-12mo)

As the Fit Model, you will assist Patagonia’s Product Teams in determining garment practicality, functionality, and consistency of overall fit.

• Try on a variety of garments and provide detailed feedback when prompted.
• Perform various movements during fitting (e.g., sitting down, bending over, reaching overhead).
• Comment on how the garment feels and how it functions (e.g., trying on the hood, inserting hands in pockets, testing zippers and buttons).
• Work with product partners to adjust or pin the garment on the child or collaborate with the parent to make necessary adjustments based on comfort level.

All child fit models are hired into Workday as Patagonia seasonal employees and may work for several months up to a year, depending on how quickly they outgrow the size.

• All fittings are scheduled by the product developer in advance and are planned around the child and parents’ availability.
• Fitting days are typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, with Monday or Friday as a last‑minute option if necessary.
• Fit time ranges from 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the number of styles.
• Breaks are taken as needed and are directed by the child.

Location:

Fittings occur onsite at the Patagonia Brooks campus in a designated fit room. A parent or guardian must be present. A private changing area is provided for the model to get dressed; the parent or guardian will dress the infant or toddler, and kids who are old enough often dress themselves.

Photo and Video:
Fittings are recorded to allow for remote work capabilities and to limit the number of people in attendance for the live fit session. Photos are taken and shared in the Teams chat and are uploaded to the internal server for use by cross‑functional partners. These photos are internal only and viewed by designated Product teams.

Compensation is $60 per hour, paid in 15‑minute increments (e.g., 15 min. fitting = $15.00, 30 min. fitting = $30.00, 45 min. fitting = $45.00). Models are encouraged to sign up for direct deposit and are paid bi‑weekly.

• Models are eligible for a product discount at any Patagonia storefront if they are present at the point of sale.

• A child who is currently wearing or growing into a Patagonia size 12 months.
• Fit models are expected to measure within tolerance of our Core Body Target measurements; measurements will be taken regularly to track growth and compare to our target.
