Assistant Technical Designer – Lilly Pulitzer
This role will aid the Technical Design Lead in developing high‑quality, well‑fitting apparel and will be responsible for interpreting design concepts into technical packages that detail fit, sizing, grading, garment specifications, and construction.
Key Responsibilities- Translate the intent of fashion design into technical design specification packages (tech packs).
- Conduct fittings with guidance from the Technical Design Lead.
- Review and analyze garment construction.
- Assist in pattern making and size grading.
- Take notes during fittings and other meetings.
- Measure garments accurately.
- Pre‑fit all samples prior to fitting on the model.
- Evaluate samples to ensure compliance with grading, tolerance, and safety standards.
- Flat‑sketch technical drawings.
- Review merchandise through e‑commerce and retail channels to understand customer feedback on fit and construction.
- Support a library of established fit blocks.
- Adhere to the Lilly Pulitzer® Product Development calendar and meet all required deadlines.
- Communicate clearly and concisely.
- Account for compliance with all processes, procedures, standards, and company policies.
- Four‑year college degree required (preferably in Fashion Design).
- 1–2 years of technical design experience, preferably in fashion or retail.
- Proficiency and comfort with technology to support technical design, including:
- The Centric® PLM System (training provided).
- The Pattern Design System Module of Accumark® (training provided).
- The Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Acrobat).
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel on Microsoft Windows).
• Full‑time, salaried, exempt position. No overtime. Standard company benefits apply.
• Hybrid work schedule based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, with a mix of office and home office.
• Occasional domestic and international travel.
• Flexible, additional working hours may be required during peak periods.
