Job Summary
SEGA of America is looking for an exceptional Transmedia Producer, Emerging Digital Platforms to join its Transmedia Digital Content Team, a group dedicated to extending SEGA’s iconic intellectual properties and storytelling across diverse platforms.
Hybrid Work ModelEssential in‑office attendance is required for supervision, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement. Flexible remote work is allowed as a supplement.
Responsibilities- Support the development, production, and delivery of transmedia projects across gaming‑metaverse, digital entertainment, toys, mobile platforms, social media‑based user‑generated content, and non‑traditional digital‑native storytelling formats.
- Strategically manage creative workflows, budgets, and resources while ensuring narrative consistency, audience engagement, and operational efficiency.
- Manage and execute daily project workflows and submission processes, ensuring team productivity and adherence to timelines.
- Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and maintaining clear, consistent production pipelines across transmedia endeavors.
- Create, maintain, and track detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure adherence to deadlines and financial accountability.
- Identify risks and resolve challenges promptly to minimize disruptions and ensure seamless execution across platforms.
- Collaborate with IP owners, writers, and creators to support narrative consistency and authenticity for SEGA’s intellectual properties.
- Maintain and update “Story Bibles” and world‑building documentation to ensure consistent lore, character arcs, and creative alignment across media formats.
- Align creative production with SEGA brand guidelines and long‑term transmedia strategies.
- Manage transmedia content across multiple platforms, collaborating with internal creative teams and external partners to produce quality content that integrates seamlessly into broader narratives.
- Act as the communication point between Strategic Business Units, Regional offices, IP owners, creative departments, marketing teams, publishers, and external stakeholders to support alignment of project goals across the company.
- Facilitate cross‑functional team collaboration to support delivery of cohesive transmedia storytelling experiences.
- Provide regular updates, KPI reports, and risk assessments to stakeholders, documenting progress, milestones, and identified issues.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned or needed.
- 3+ years of relevant experience within multi‑platform production in entertainment (digital content, gaming, animation, film/TV, or social media).
- Proven track record of delivering transmedia content that aligns with brand guidelines and achieves audience engagement goals.
- Experience in IP lifecycle management, identifying and developing opportunities for narrative expansion across emerging platforms.
- Familiarity with production tools and platforms such as Game Engines (Unreal & Unity) and Content Management software (JIRA, Trello & Miro).
- Knowledge of emerging technologies (VR & AR) and their application to storytelling and audience engagement.
- Experience incorporating AI functionality to maximize efficiency.
- Strong understanding of world‑building, character development, and crafting consistent narratives across diverse media formats.
- Expertise in handling complex project schedules, overlapping deadlines, and large budgets, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Experience working within global entertainment or gaming organizations, managing team coordination across diverse cultures and time zones, including collaboration with Japanese companies.
- Passion for SEGA franchises and understanding of their unique storytelling opportunities.
In‑office attendance is essential for effective supervision, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement, including spontaneous brainstorming, quick access to team members, and stronger cohesion.
