Associate Creative Director, Design
Join the creative team at Whatnot to build brand and craft best-in-class creative across physical and digital experiences. As a core member, you’ll lead strategy, development, and execution of events that resonate with our communities.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with category and marketing teams to develop and execute campaign strategies and design directions that support business goals.
- Oversee end-to-end processes from concepts to final handoff, delivering work that drives loyalty and engagement while maintaining a high bar for craft.
- Manage and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative environment of creative excellence.
- Lead brainstorming sessions, generate new ideas for event campaigns, and develop creative briefs that inspire the team.
- Stay ahead of trends, emerging platforms, and creative best practices to keep events fresh, effective, and culturally resonant.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including agencies and contractors, to scale creative production efficiently.

Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in design, brand, and experiential creative roles.
- 2–4+ years in a lead design role where you independently concepted, designed, and executed projects; in-house experience with a multi-sited brand or marketplace preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and brand strategies and identity systems across physical and digital surfaces.
- Experience building and evolving brand systems in digitally native, social-first contexts.
- Leadership of creative teams that have taken campaigns from idea through launch, able to discuss business impact.
- Deep understanding of audience behavior, emerging trends, and tools, and passion for exploring brand–culture intersections.
- Adept at using data and metrics to inform creative decisions and improve impact.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly. Experience working closely with designers, marketers, and product teams.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously, pivoting as priorities shift.
- Curious, proactive, growth mindset, high standard for quality.

Compensation Range: $175K – $225K
