We’re looking for a Senior Creative, Art with exceptional fluency in the social media and (sub) cultural landscape — a visually led, content-obsessed creative who can deliver social-first, scroll-stopping ideas and executions. You’re a visual trend-spotter, aesthetic architect, and culture junkie who knows how to turn insights into bold, platform-native creative that people actually want to watch, save, and share.
You’re on the bleeding edge of trends, formats, and visual language. You have a sharp eye for composition, pacing, and design, and an instinct for what makes content feel native (not try-hard) across platforms. You think in visuals first — from lo-fi phone-shot content to elevated campaign systems — and you know how to bring big ideas to life through art direction, layout, motion, and storytelling.
You’ll help translate briefs into visually compelling creative concepts, develop the look and feel for social-first campaigns, storyboard and art direct content across video and static formats, and collaborate closely with copy, strategy, production, and editors to ensure ideas land beautifully in the final execution.
You’ll join our creative team working on some of our biggest accounts, helping drive day-to-day content, elevate visual standards, and deliver culturally fluent, viral-worthy work rooted in strong BIG IDEAS. You’ll play a key role in fostering a collaborative, curious, and creatively ambitious environment.
Working at OK COOL as a Sr Creative, Art means you have a deep understanding of what’s visually resonating online — and how to adapt that across fashion, beauty, sports, travel, tech, lifestyle, and more.
If you’ve made doom-scrolling a research method, have a constantly evolving reference folder, and can instinctively tell why a piece of content works (or doesn’t) — this might be your job.
Responsibilities- Concept and develop original, platform-specific visual ideas for social campaigns, content series, brand activations, and always-on programs across Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube, X, and emerging platforms.
- Lead art direction for social-first content including short-form video, static posts, carousels, and influencer/creator content, ensuring strong visual storytelling, composition, pacing, and platform-native execution.
- Translate briefs and cultural insights into clear visual systems, storyboards, mood boards, layouts, and references that guide execution across formats.
- Independently create and produce social-first content as needed - including lo-fi video, static assets, quick-turn visuals, and rough edits - to support always-on needs, testing, and fast-moving cultural moments.
- Collaborate closely with copywriters, designers, editors, strategists, client services, influencer teams, and producers to bring work from brief through final delivery.
- Partner with editors and production teams to ensure creative intent and visual integrity carry through to the final cut.
- Provide direction, mentorship, and constructive feedback to junior creatives, designers, and freelancers to elevate overall creative quality.
- Present visual concepts, ideas, and creative rationale clearly and confidently to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure all creative output meets OK COOL’s standards for craft, cultural relevance, platform fluency, and brand alignment.
- Stay ahead of visual, cultural, and platform trends, contributing to the evolution of OK COOL’s creative POV and industry leadership.
- 4+ years of experience in a senior art direction, design, or visual creative role within a social agency or brand environment
- A strong portfolio showcasing social-first, visually led work, from lo-fi, fast-turn content to larger campaign systems and storytelling
