Position

The Production Designer designs and produces print and digital assets while ensuring brand consistency, production readiness, and high‑quality execution across all deliverables. This role manages print vendor relationships, including sourcing, negotiating quotes, overseeing production quality, and coordinating projects from concept through final production. Responsibilities include developing signage, in‑store displays, event materials, packaging, and other print collateral, while also supporting digital design initiatives to maintain brand cohesion.

Location

Hybrid combining remote work and onsite in White River Junction, VT for 3 days per week. Ideal candidates will be located within 120 miles of our offices.

Pay

$54,900 to $74,200 annual salary; commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, produce, and prepare print‑ready assets for a wide variety of channels, including signage, packaging, event materials, print advertising, in‑store displays, and other branded collateral, ensuring alignment with King Arthur Baking’s brand standards.
  • Manage print production from concept through final delivery, including sourcing and coordinating with vendors, obtaining quotes, preparing files, reviewing proofs, and ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness throughout the production process.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners, including Brand, Marketing, Retail, and external vendors, proactively communicating project priorities, timelines, status updates, and potential risks to ensure successful execution.
  • Ensure exceptional attention to detail, ensuring consistency in typography, color, layout, and overall execution across all materials.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail, effectively prioritizing workload, meeting deadlines, and maintaining creative excellence and technical accuracy with minimal oversight.
  • Provides onsite support for print production and vendor coordination, including occasional short‑notice requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, document, and scale creative production workflows, while staying current on printing processes, materials, technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare, route, track, and maintain production files through internal review and approval workflows, ensuring efficient project progression, organized file management, version control, and adherence to established team processes.
  • Support a diverse range of creative and production initiatives, including digital asset adaptation, photo/video studio support, and other projects as business needs evolve.
Experience and Education
  • 3+ years of professional design experience in print production, with a well‑rounded portfolio demonstrating versatility and technical expertise.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and project management tools such as Asana.
  • Experience managing projects from start to finish, coordinating with external vendors, printers, and production partners, including managing timelines, file delivery, proof review, and issue resolution.
  • Solid understanding of four‑color and spot color pre‑press and printing standards for assisting with print projects.
  • Strong understanding of digital design best practices and user experience.
  • BA/BFA in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.
