About the RoleWe are seeking a talented and versatile Videographer and Editor to join our Content Team. This role involves both the capture and edit of high-quality video footage into polished, final products. As a key member of the content team, you will be responsible for shooting, lighting, and capturing audio for in‑house and field productions, as well as editing final projects that meet brand guidelines and creative objectives.
You will report to the Senior Creative Manager while collaborating closely with the Senior Content Producer and other videographer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for both the technical and creative sides of video production.
This role requires you to be in the New York office in the Flatiron district 4 days a week Mon–Thurs. Friday work from home.
Responsibilities Video Capture- Collaborate with the Senior Producer and other team members to capture video that aligns with the creative vision and project objectives.
- Set up, operate, and maintain cameras, lighting and audio equipment for shoots.
- Frame and block shots to tell compelling stories, following or assisting in creation of shot lists and production plans.
- Capture high-quality video, ensuring proper composition, exposure, focus, and audio capture during shoots.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues with cameras, lighting, or audio equipment during production.
- Edit raw footage into finished, polished videos using editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) that meets the projects goals and brand guidelines.
- Sync audio, add transitions, special effects, and graphics to enhance the video’s visual storytelling.
- Ensure the final video is high-quality, with smooth pacing, clear messaging, and alignment with the intended tone and style.
- Make revisions based on feedback from the Senior Creative Manager, Senior Producer, and other stakeholders.
- Organize and manage raw files and project files within a shared drive.
- Responsible for the setup, maintenance, and management of all needed video production equipment, including cameras, lighting equipment, audio equipment, and editing tools.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working condition before and after shoots.
- Work with Senior Content Producer to track needed production gear, ensuring that everything is returned properly and promptly.
- Work closely with the Senior Producer, Senior Creative Manager, and other team members to understand the project’s goals, timeline, and creative direction.
- Communicate effectively with the team and provide input during pre‑production meetings to ensure the shoot meets expectations.
- Assist in the creation of shot lists, production schedules, and storyboards, where necessary.
- Manage your own workload, ensuring that deadlines are met and video projects are delivered on time.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high‑quality standards.
- Communicate progress and potential delays to the Senior Creative Manager and Senior Content Producer.
- Contribute creative ideas to video production projects, assisting with concept development and brainstorming.
- Stay current with video production trends, techniques, and technology, bringing new ideas and innovation to the team.
- Use metrics and hindsight to recommend adjustments to future video shoots to improve video performance.
- Become proficient in product knowledge to assist Senior Content Producer on shoot as needed.
- Assist with out‑of house shoots.
- 3 years of experience in shooting and editing video, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere) including basic color correction.
- Familiarity with shooting on iPhone and Sony x6700, FX3A or similar DSLR cameras.
- Experience with camera operation, lighting setups, and managing production equipment.
- Strong understanding of video composition and shot framing.
- Knowledge of motion graphics or text overlay.
