PositionThe Digital Organizer, Communications
, leads the creation and execution of high-impact digital content and print media that supports organizing campaigns and amplifies member voices. Working in close collaboration with Communications Organizers and campaign teams, this role translates campaign strategy into compelling visual, video, and platform-specific content across social media, web, and email. This position serves as a key creative partner in advancing the union’s digital presence, engagement, and storytelling, with a strong emphasis on graphic design long form video, and emerging digital platforms.
- Design graphics and digital materials for both print and online platforms.
- Create multimedia content for social media, websites, and print campaigns, including graphics, videos, and other digital assets.
- Create platform-specific content for Tik Tok, Instagram, You Tube, and Facebook, with an emphasis on video-first storytelling
- Produce, shoot, and edit video content for social media
- Translate campaign messaging into engaging, accessible, and visually compelling digital content
- Collaborate with Communications Organizers and campaign teams to support campaign rollouts and rapid-response communications
- Manage and maintain social media content calendars in coordination with broader communications strategy
- Maintain and update website content, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with campaigns
- Monitor digital performance metrics and optimize content based on engagement and reach
- Stay current on digital trends, platform algorithms, and best practices to continuously improve content strategy
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience: 3+ years of professional, on the job graphic design experience
- Experience: 3+ years of social media content creation and management
- Experience: At least 2 years of website maintenance and administration experience, preferably in Word Press
- Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Skills: Experience with online social media video editing tools such as Cap Cut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or iMovie
- Skills: Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to create engaging, platform-specific content on social media that drives people to action
- Skills: Strong visual storytelling and branding skills
- Skills: Strong writing and editing skills for digital audiences
- Skills: Working knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) such as Word Press, etc.
- Skills: Able to use digital analytics (engagement, reach, conversions) to drive audience growth and action
- Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, campaign-driven environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Vietnamese
- Experience in labor, union, or member-based organizations
- Familiarity with organizing campaigns and digital organizing strategies
- Basic motion graphics or animation skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and translate strategy into execution
- Understanding of digital organizing and member engagement principles
- Ability to take creative direction and work independently

- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, campaign environment
