Become a vital part of ILM Vancouver as an Experienced Motion Editor, focusing on the intricacies of motion capture animation. This hybrid role supports both onsite and remote work options.

In our Coal Harbour studio, you will retarget and edit high-quality motion capture animations for film and gaming. We are looking for a candidate with a solid understanding of motion blending and extensive experience with tools like Maya and Blender. You will enhance character performance and ensure smooth transitions between animations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proficiently retarget motion across character hierarchies

• Improve performance while preserving actor integrity

• Adjust character interactions with environment and props

• Develop detailed finger, toe, and tail animations

• Blend various motions for a cohesive output

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or Animation

• Prior experience with motion capture animation

• Strong understanding of animation principles

• Attention to detail and adept communication
