About the Role

The Associate will work closely with the firm’s partners and staff to support the production of TV, digital, and radio advertising, as well as the management of ad campaigns. This is an ideal position for someone who loves politics, wants to make a positive impact in upcoming races, and is interested in learning more about the production world.

Responsibilities
  • Support video production logistics – from formatting scripts to getting spots to stations on time.
  • Research and organize elements used in video and radio advertising, including video, photos, music, and quotes from news sources.
  • Work directly with production and post‑production vendors – including producers, editors, talent, and sound engineers – to guide ads from start to finish of the production life cycle.
  • Archive footage and final digital, TV, and radio ads.
  • Proof memo, scripts, presentations, and deliverables before they are shared with clients and other consultants.
  • Perform other tasks and administrative duties as assigned.
Compensation

Combined annualized base salary + discretionary bonus range from $60,000 to $80,000, dependent on experience, with competitive benefits, including employer‑subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance, a tech stipend, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualified applicants will have relevant educational and/or work experience with either:

  • At least one year of work in video post‑production.
  • At least one election cycle in political issue campaigns, or experience at a consulting firm.
  • A combination of political and production experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will also possess the following:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Comfortable with long, irregular hours during peak seasons.
  • Ability to work efficiently and autonomously, and be responsive.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, with a track record of work performed to the highest standards of quality.
  • Experience managing projects, tracking progress, and delegating work across multiple team members, from initial planning to execution.
  • Superior organizational and time‑management skills to meet tight deadlines, particularly in a remote work setting.
  • Adept knowledge of the ins and outs of politics, from industry jargon to key players.
  • High proficiency in standard office technologies and software, such as Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and G‑Suite.
  • Basic understanding of video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, is a plus.
  • Understanding of conversational Spanish is a plus.
