Highlights Of This Opportunity

* Assisting Nation to Nation;
* Initiate, research, and pitch original story ideas on a daily basis;
* Write and develop approved stories for multi-platform use, ensuring accuracy and editorial quality;
* Cover breaking news by evaluating leads, interviewing sources, and assessing relevance for target audiences;
* Prepare scripts and story packages, including recommending visuals and collaborating with the team to finalize content.### Qualifications Your accomplishments and experience include:
* A degree/diploma in journalism or related field with proven experience related to journalism;
* Knowledge of content management systems, Canadian Press News Style, writing headlines and copy editing (web team);
* A strong ability to articulate and effectively communicate issues relevant to Indigenous communities;
* Strong computer skills and knowledge of broadcast technology.
