- Salary Range: $65,000 – $90,000 CAD (Based on skills & experience)

Required:
2-3+ years of professional production experience preferred - Primary Mandate: Partner with the Director and Head of Story to translate script pages into highly engaging, dynamic 3D CG animated storyboard panels.
WE WANT YOU (and your mad skills)! On a CG animated production, the Storyboard Artist’s role is to work with the Director or Storyboard Director to translate the script into a visual medium.
- Script Translation: Under the leadership of the Head of Story and/or a Senior Storyboard Artist, you will use character and environment designs to translate written script pages into clear storyboard panels.
- Narrative & Tone Development: Create story sequences that accurately reflect the emotional, action-packed, and/or comedic intent of a scene or sequence.
- Creative Brainstorming: Actively participate in collaborative brainstorming sessions to pitch narrative, emotional, and comedic ideas for the production.
- Cinematic Staging: Apply strong abilities in staging, shot composition, screen direction, and cutting to achieve highly effective storytelling.
- Continuity Maintenance: Focus heavily on shot-to-shot continuity within your assigned sequences while collaborating with other story artists to ensure seamless transitions from sequence to sequence.

Exceptional ability to capture character action, emotion, and attitude fluidly through storyboard panels. - Storytelling Excellence: Proven narrative skills tailored for CG animation.
- Film Grammar Mastery: Solid knowledge of film grammar, cinematic shot composition, and camera tools, alongside an understanding of how to use them for optimal visual storytelling.
- Stylistic Adaptability: The ability to swiftly adapt your drawing style to match a variety of project aesthetics, ranging from stylized/cartoony to photorealistic.
- Digital Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with industry-standard digital storyboarding software.

- Adobe Photoshop
- Education: A degree and/or diploma in fine arts, animation, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience: 2-3+ years of working in a professional studio environment within the story discipline.
- Salary Range: $65,000 – $90,000 CAD.
- Determination: Starting compensation within this posted range will be determined based on factors including the successful candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
