Graphic Design Internship; Remote

Overview

Studio Vanta is a Centurion-based design studio creating bold, functional digital experiences for startups, creators, and communities. We are looking for passionate, curious, and motivated graphic design students or recent graduates to join our 3-month internship programme. This internship is ideal for emerging designers looking to build real-world experience in branding, website design, and social media design, under the mentorship of an experienced designer.

• Branding systems and identity design (logos, type, colour, brand kits)
• Website wireframes and visual design (using tools like Figma)
• Social media content creation and layout
• How to structure design presentations and pitch ideas

• Assist in developing brand and web design concepts
• Create mockups, layouts, and design assets for social platforms
• Shadow real client projects and participate in creative reviews
• Receive weekly feedback and mentorship
• Collaborate asynchronously with the team via Slack, Figma, Notion, or similar tools

• 6–10 hours per week (flexible schedule)
• 3-month internship, with possible extension based on learner's interest

• You’re a current design student or recent graduate (graphic/digital/communication/UI/UX design)
• Good eye for layout, typography, and colour
• Eager to learn, open to feedback, and reliable
• Must have own laptop
• South Africa only

We primarily use Figma and Canva, both are free to use. If you already have access to Adobe (through school or personal license), you’re welcome to use it, but it’s not required.

• Weekly mentorship and design critiques to help grow your skills
• Real-world insight into creative client work and studio processes
• Flexibility to work remotely on your own time (no fixed hours)

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a short async task and a quick Google Meet interview.

This is a learning-focused internship, NOT a full-time or paid position. No formal employment relationship is created.

All interns will receive a letter of recommendation upon successful completion.
