Cyber Guy is seeking a tech news content writer who works remotely to join our team.

• Ability to research and write tech stories and features on deadline
• Remote contract position for those eligible to work in the United States

• You are passionate about storytelling
• You are curious, understand tech and are the friend and family member most sought after for tech advice
• You have at least 3 years of experience in writing tech‑related content
• You are skilled at writing clear and compelling content on deadline
• You have strong news judgment and the ability to identify compelling meaningful stories
• You can quickly go in‑depth and explain complicated concepts in an understandable way for anyone to follow
• You are meticulous and can source facts and information with thoroughness and accuracy
• You are proactive, self‑motivated and adaptable
• You have great attention to detail
• You can think strategically and solve problems independently
• You are resourceful and can find answers when none are apparent
• You have experience working with a team to bring smart content to life
• You have experience with Word Press and Canva

• Deliver articles with an average length of 400 to 600 words each
• Identify and pitch articles that our audience will find engaging, topical, helpful, entertaining, and relevant and complement our written content
• Write, source, add images to, and complete articles free of spelling and grammatical errors
• Test all how‑to process articles to ensure anyone can follow the steps accurately
• Write clever headlines and subtitles that are highly compelling yet never bait the audience
• Collaborate with other writers, editors, and content managers
• Qualitatively check your own work for accuracy before submitting
• Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the demands of 24/7 tech news content production
