What you will do:

Create original, digital content including news, features, analysis and thought leadership.

Produce and adapt content across platforms such as: websites, eNews, podcasts (planning, interviewing, scripting), social media, video (short-form and interviews).

Identify and pitch story ideas based on industry trends, audience insights and performance data.

Conduct interviews with industry leaders, experts and stakeholders.

Deliver timely, relevant industry coverage.

Repurpose our exclusive content to maximize reach and engagement.

Optimize digital content for generative search and AI-driven discovery.

Collaborate across brands and teams.

Experiment with new formats to grow and engage audiences.

Host and attend industry events (live and virtual) to better connect with your audience.

Build and foster relationships with industry associations, partners and key contacts.

Stay on top of media and industry trends, bringing forward new ideas and opportunities.

What You Bring

In addition to a degree/diploma in journalism or related field, you have three or more years’ experience in writing, communication or journalism.

Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills with the ability to break down complex and technical topics as needed.

Proven track record of creating content across digital platforms (web, email, social, video, podcast, etc.) on a daily basis.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and turn innovative ideas to life.

Comfortable on camera and/or contributing to multimedia content.

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with social tools and basic audio/video editing.

Ability to work together to achieve the best results and proven can do/will do attitude. You take ownership over all you do.

Organized, detail-oriented and tech-savvy.

Outgoing personality and comfortable in various social settings.

Adaptable, curious and driven to go above and beyond to deliver the unexpected.

A valid driver’s license and enthusiasm to travel (Canada and beyond).

Capable of working remotely from a home office as well as in one of our office locations as required.

Salary Range: $62,000/yr – $72,000/yr

* Profit sharing and employee dividends are in addition to this.
