About the Company

The Clever Factory (  ) is a privately owned consumer products company that designs innovative books, calendars, gift bags, games, stationery, and paper-based seasonal items for mass market retailers, with its headquarters located in Nashville, Tennessee. Our creative team is growing, and we are looking for talented graphic designers to join our team! Our office provides a collaborative creative work environment where graphic designers are given the opportunity to develop products from concept to production in partnership with our product team.

We are looking to fill two (2) positions: one on our Publishing team and one on our Gift Bag team. These roles are full-time positions with a balanced schedule of working from home combined with collaborating with the team in person in our Nashville office. Full-time includes benefits and PTO. Please note these positions do not have any relocation reimbursements or moving expenses, and this is a hybrid role working from home and in office at our Nashville, Tennessee location.

• Responsible for taking designs from conceptualization to implementation.
• Manage multiple design projects with tight deadlines and the ability to switch priorities quickly.
• Prepare and deliver 100% accurate digital art files and product specifications for manufacturing.
• Provide design, proofing, samples, approvals, and product specification follow-up throughout the manufacturing process as needed.
• Trend Identification and Application—be aware of current trends within all industry areas and be able to translate them into gift product designs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts or Illustration, fine arts, marketing, or a related field. Experience in publishing or gifting industry is a plus.
• 3-5 years of graphic design experience from a professional design studio or product development company.
• Strong fundamental design background specializing in typography, illustration, layout, and/or surface pattern design.
• Proficiency in all Adobe Creative Suite software, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Must have the ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task multiple projects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Originality - able to create original and unique prints and surface designs.
• Required to have excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Team Player—performs well under pressure in a team environment.
