Freelance VFX Artist – AI Clip Licensing Project; Remote

Overview

This opportunity is ideal for VFX artists with a portfolio of photorealistic CG or composited footage who are interested in licensing their existing work for an AI research project. The focus is on high-quality, real-world simulations and environmental effects, not stylized or animated content. Artists must own full rights to their footage and be able to deliver technical files as specified.

The project involves licensing your footage and preparing it for delivery as separate, logically grouped layers, supporting AI training and development initiatives.

• License existing photorealistic VFX or CG footage for AI research use
• Re-render and package each clip into 3–8 separate layers (e.g., smoke, shadows, reflections)
• Ensure each clip is a minimum of 720p resolution and at least 8 seconds long
• Deliver both the composite and individual layer files, ungraded
• Complete delivery within 14 days of agreement
• Provide a short proposal with links to relevant work

• Demonstrated experience in VFX, with a portfolio of photorealistic CG or composited footage
• Proficiency in Houdini, Blender, Maya, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software
• Full ownership of all intellectual property rights for submitted clips
• Ability to deliver technical files as specified (layered, ungraded, correct format)
• Comfortable licensing work for AI training and development purposes under NDA
• Strong attention to detail and technical delivery standards
• Reliable and able to meet tight deadlines
