We’re looking for a Producer for our Special Features teamIn this role you will be the driving force behind bringing our high‑quality, narrative episodes to life—from pitching to interviewing guests and scripting to voicing.
Qualifications- 3–5 years of experience in long‑form, narrative podcasting or documentary‑style storytelling. Demonstrated experience in producing audio, including pitching, gathering tape, interviewing guests, hosting, editing interviews and working with audio engineers on sound design.
- Curious, able to dive deep into complex topics (bonus if financial or strategic) and weave them into a compelling narrative.
- Skilled storyteller with a knack for weaving complex narrative style episodes. From outlining to scripting you must create clear, engaging stories.
- Organized and able to manage multiple episodes in production simultaneously, balancing projects, meeting deadlines and communicating progress.
- Team player who collaborates, incorporates editorial feedback and works with audio engineers to shape impact and story.
- Familiarity with production tools such as Descript and remote recording platforms is an asset.
- Episode Development
- Work with editorial team to research and pitch story ideas.
- Identify the right angle, scope and narrative arc for each episode.
- Develop learning outcomes such as capital allocation, investment strategy, M&A and fraud.
- Collaborate with the Associate Producer to research and find guests for each episode.
- Podcast Production
- Conduct interviews with industry experts and guests.
- Host and voice episodes.
- Integrate interview tape, scripting and editing for maximum clarity and impact.
- Incorporate editorial feedback on outlines and scripts.
- Work with Audio Engineers to maintain high production quality and sound design.
$75,000 – $85,000 per year. Salary varies based on market conditions, location and experience.
Location and ScheduleThis is a flexible hybrid role based out of Toronto, Canada. Employees are expected to commute to the office 1–2 times a week, with in‑office time increasing during training and onboarding.
