We are looking for an Assistant Editor to join the Roca and Ediciones B team, collaborating in the development and follow-up of editorial projects from conception to publication. Your mission will be to support the management of publications from both imprints, participating in the coordination of the different editorial processes, the elaboration of editorial materials, the search for new opportunities for the catalog, and the relationship with authors and collaborators, contributing to the growth and positioning of our publications.
YourChallenges Will Be:
- Collaborating in the follow-up of editorial projects during the different phases of the publication process.
- Writing and revising editorial materials such as cover texts, briefs, internal reports, and other content related to publications.
- Managing administrative processes associated with editorial projects using SAP and other management tools.
- Elaborating and updating schedules and documentation for the follow-up of publications.
- Reading and evaluating manuscripts, preparing analysis reports and editorial proposals.
- Maintaining communication with authors, agents, and other external collaborators regarding assigned projects.
- Coordinating editing, correction, and review processes with the different areas involved.
- Researching market trends, emerging profiles, and editorial opportunities through social networks and other channels.
- Collaborating in the identification of new voices, themes, and projects of interest for the catalog.
- Providing general support to the responsible editor of the area, participating in the tasks and dynamics of the department.
We would like to see:
- University degree in Publishing, Philology, Communication, or related fields.
- Previous experience in publishing or editorial project management.
- Excellent writing skills and editorial sensitivity.
- Interest in cultural, literary, and digital trends.
- High level of English.
- Organizational skills, initiative, and teamwork.
- Passion for books and the publishing sector.
