If you’re still reading, COOL STORY is looking for a Video Editing Intern to help us turn raw footage into highly watchable, highly shareable content.

Video Editing Intern (Remote)

This internship is designed for students or early-career creatives who want hands-on experience editing content for brands, creators, and online channels. You’ll work directly with COOL STORY’s internal team to shape short-form and long-form videos across platforms like Tik Tok, Instagram, and You Tube.

The goal? To give you a crash course in real-world post-production, while leveling up your storytelling instincts for today’s internet.

• Editing short-form videos (under 60 seconds) and longform You Tube content
• Organizing and handling footage using shared drives
• Creating thumbnails, reels covers, and other supporting visuals
• Studying trends and adapting edits accordingly
• Collaborating with our team on creative reviews and revisions
• Potential to work on client-facing content (depending on experience)

• You edit in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• You’ve edited Tik Toks, Reels, or You Tube videos — either for yourself or others
• You care about pacing, punchlines, and polish
• You know how to organize footage and keep a project tidy
• You’re not afraid to give or receive feedback
• You understand what makes content feel “current” and why that matters
• Bonus:
  You like to shoot your own stuff

COOL STORY () is an award-winning content agency operating at the intersection of advertising and entertainment. We specialize in creating original, short-form video content for brands’ owned-media channels (You Tube, IG, Tik Tok, etc.) The COOL STORY team is currently made up of two full-time employees and a creative collective of 10+ team members and contract-based support staff.

Fully remote. You’ll need access to fast, reliable internet for downloading/uploading footage. If you’re based in the Twin Cities, there may be optional opportunities to assist on local shoots.

Starts at ~
20 hours/week with a STRONG potential to extend and expand role.

Schedule is flexible but deadlines are not.

Internship duration is negotiable.
