Position OverviewHYBE America is seeking a creative, driven, and intellectually curious Film & TV Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about storytelling and eager to gain hands‑on experience across the creative, strategic, and operational sides of film and television development.
We’re looking for someone who understands the hustle of the entertainment industry, brings a strong work ethic, and is excited to read, analyze, and contribute to the development process. The ideal candidate is thoughtful, resourceful, business‑minded, and eager to learn—someone who approaches every task with humility and curiosity. An interest in music, artists, and talent‑driven content is a strong plus.
This is a hybrid role based in our Santa Monica office, with in‑person collaboration 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week.
Key ResponsibilitiesGain exposure to the full lifecycle of film and television development, including creative evaluation, strategy, and production planning
Read and evaluate scripts, books, articles, and other source materials; provide written coverage and thoughtful analysis
Conduct research on industry trends, audience behavior, and competitive landscape to support development decisions
Identify and source underlying IP (books, graphic novels, articles, podcasts, games, etc.) and present recommendations to the team
Assist with the creation of pitch materials, decks, and internal presentations
Provide administrative support including scheduling, note-taking, and desk coverage as needed
Maintain and organize internal databases, project trackers, and development materials
Attend team meetings and creative discussions, contributing insights when appropriate
Compile and distribute a daily digest of relevant industry news, trades, and emerging trends
Strong interest in film, television, and the broader entertainment landscape
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas and analysis clearly
Strong reading comprehension and critical thinking skills (coverage experience is a plus)
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar)
Self‑motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Prior internship or experience in film/TV, media, or entertainment
- Experience writing script coverage or creative analysis
- Familiarity with industry trades (Deadline, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, etc.)
- Interest in talent, music‑driven content, and cross‑platform storytelling

CompensationThis role is paid on an hourly basis, with up to 35 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is $17.81 per hour, in accordance with the Santa Monica minimum wage at the time of posting. This role does not include additional benefits or other compensatory components.
