Job Description & How to Apply Below

Future-Able is partnering with a client to identify an experienced Creative Production Project Manager for a complex, technology-enabled entertainment production.

The production brings together creative development, digital production, live performance, emerging technology, and a network of specialized vendors and independent contributors. Once developed, the show is expected to move into live exhibition and touring environments.

The Creative Production Project Manager will bring structure, visibility, and coordination across these interconnected work streams. This person will translate production direction into organized plans, schedules, deliverables, ownership, and next steps, while helping ensure that decisions are made on time, dependencies are understood, and contributors remain aligned.

This is a hybrid role based in the greater Los Angeles area, with a combination of remote work and regular in-person collaboration based on production needs.

The position is not responsible for establishing the creative vision or making final creative, technical, or production decisions. It is also broader and more experienced than a traditional Production Assistant or Production Coordinator role. The primary focus is project management, production planning, workflow coordination, stakeholder alignment, and follow‑through across a complex and evolving production.

What You Will Do
  • Build and maintain an integrated production plan across creative, digital production, technology, live production, and external vendor work streams.
  • Translate production direction into clearly defined tasks, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, decision points, and deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain the central project management system used as the production’s primary source of truth.
  • Coordinate workflows across production leaders, creative partners, technical contributors, vendors, independent contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Track deliverables through assignment, development, review, revision, approval, and final handoff.
  • Maintain visibility into upcoming reviews, approvals, asset transfers, rehearsals, technical needs, and other production milestones.
  • Organize recurring production meetings, workstream reviews, and vendor coordination sessions.
  • Prepare agendas focused on decisions, risks, dependencies, and required next steps.
  • Document decisions, action items, accountable owners, and deadlines.
  • Follow up consistently to ensure commitments are completed and unresolved issues continue moving toward resolution.
  • Maintain production calendars, action trackers, decision logs, approval records, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Identify schedule risks, missing inputs, unresolved decisions, resource constraints, and cross‑workstream dependencies.
  • Communicate the downstream implications of delays, changing requirements, or incomplete decisions.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, schedules, deliverables, review cycles, asset handoffs, and outstanding commitments.
  • Create clear visibility into what has been completed, what is underway, what is blocked, and what requires leadership attention.
  • Help production leaders distinguish immediate priorities from longer‑term needs.
  • Support changes to scope, sequencing, timelines, and production assumptions while maintaining clear documentation.
  • Help establish repeatable project management practices, workflows, templates, and operating rhythms that can support future productions.
  • Provide additional production coordination and administrative support as needed, while maintaining primary ownership of project planning and workflow management.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience managing complex creative, entertainment, digital‑production, experiential, agency, VFX, animation, music, live‑event, touring, post‑production, or technology‑enabled projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple interconnected work streams involving internal stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and creative partners.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, production schedules, dependencies, deliverables, reviews, approvals, feedback cycles, and asset handoffs.
  • Ability to create structure and forward momentum in an environment where scope,…
