Layout Design Technician (Part-Time

LAYOUT DESIGN TECHNICIAN (PART-TIME)

Greater Diversity New's a 36‑year‑old company that publishes weekly online and monthly editions. We are looking for an independent contractor to perform newspaper layout and design duties (part‑time) in our print production department.

• Layout & design of classified pages. Must be available on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
• Tracking/kerning text.
• Generating PDF documents for review.
• Making corrections to ads placed in the classified section.
• Assisting Sr. Graphic Designer as needed.

• Intermediate skills using Adobe InDesign.
• Excellent communication and organization skills to receive and reply to interoffice emails.
• Ability to meet established deadline schedules.
• Remote position; must have access to a computer with InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, and a solid internet connection.
• Must be able to work from home and require minimum supervision.
• Previous newspaper layout and design experience preferred.

$20.00 per hour for a 6‑hour work‑week ($120.00).
