Position: WUMD College Radio  DJ (TEMP)

WUMD DJ Position

WUMD DJs create and perform musical content for live events on UM-Dearborn’s campus as contracted by student organizations and campus units. This position is for a UM-Dearborn student who is enrolled at least part-time and is available to work nights and weekends. Hours available vary based on WUMD’s service request schedule with busy season being in early to mid-Fall and Winter semesters.

Responsibilities
  • Create audio content for live events based on client requests and desired event atmosphere
  • Perform live at contracted events on behalf of WUMD College Radio, demonstrating showmanship and professionalism
  • Perform setup and teardown of equipment for contracted events
  • Meet with clients as needed in preparation for events
  • Represent WUMD College Radio and the Wolverine Media network positively
  • Promote WUMD College Radio and the Wolverine Media Network services and initiatives at events
Required Qualifications
  • Enrolled at least part-time as a UM-Dearborn student
  • Must be able to work in a sitting or standing position
  • Must be able to lift equipment up to 40lbs
  • Must have a flexible work schedule and be able to work some nights and weekends
Desired Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to those candidates who will be enrolled through the WI27 semester
  • Federal Work Study Eligible
