This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
This is a one-year contract (renewable).
Your RoleAs the Digital Editor for ICI TOU.TV’s News, Sports and Variety section, you will lead publishing and curation efforts for the ICI TOU.TV streaming platform and You Tube channel. Your primary goal is to align digital offerings with programming priorities while continuously optimizing the user experience for target audiences.
Description Of Duties ICI TOU.TV Publishing:- Monitor current events and industry developments relevant to your section.
- Research, gather, curate and verify information from diverse sources.
- Publish and update live and on-demand content in line with ICI TOU.TV programming priorities.
- Monitor current events and industry developments relevant to your section.
- Attend planning meetings. Pitch ideas and concepts, and provide editorial input.
- Research, gather, curate and verify information from diverse sources.
- Select topics (reports, interviews, documentaries, etc.) for online publication. Adapt, summarize and supplement content as required, determining its layout and sequencing.
- Review, select, and format video clips and visuals for You Tube, including sourcing stock imagery.
- Write You Tube-optimized copy, titles, descriptions and metadata.
- Help organize and moderate interactive digital events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Two (2) or more years’ relevant experience.
- Broad knowledge base and keen interest in current events, sports, arts and variety programming.
- Excellent command of spoken and written French; working knowledge of English is an asset.
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMSs) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs).
- Demonstrated ability to manage You Tube channels and leverage analytics tools.
- Familiarity with digital media production tools (selecting video clips and visuals).
- Experience with specialized tools (iNews, SynPS, Medianet, Scoop, Picto, Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve) is an asset.
- Attention to detail, particularly regarding data entry and workflow tracking.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset and ability to make sound editorial decisions.
- Written French test.
- Practical assignment evaluating technical and editorial skills.
- Selection interview.
