AI Video Editor

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Video Editor based in Canada.

This is an opportunity for a creative video professional to combine traditional editing expertise with the latest AI-powered production tools. You will create polished, engaging content for social media, marketing, advertising, and other digital channels. The role offers hands-on exposure to AI-generated visuals, avatars, voiceovers, scenes, and other creative assets. You’ll transform both original and AI-generated footage into compelling short- and long-form content.

Success will require strong storytelling instincts, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently across multiple projects. You’ll also have the opportunity to experiment with emerging AI technologies and improve creative workflows in a fast-moving environment.

• Edit and produce high-quality video content for social media, marketing, advertising, and other digital platforms.
• Create AI-generated video content using platforms such as Runway, Kling, Veo, Hey Gen, Synthesia, Pika, or similar tools.
• Generate and integrate AI-powered visuals, scenes, avatars, voiceovers, and other video elements.
• Combine AI-generated assets with traditional footage, graphics, animations, and stock media to create polished final productions.
• Add captions, transitions, music, sound effects, motion graphics, and other finishing elements that enhance viewer engagement.
• Repurpose long-form content into short-form videos for platforms such as Tik Tok, Instagram Reels, and You Tube Shorts.
• Follow creative briefs, brand guidelines, and project specifications while maintaining consistency across deliverables.
• Test emerging AI video tools and develop more efficient workflows that improve production speed, quality, and creative output.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize deliverables effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.

• Proven professional experience as a Video Editor, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating editing, storytelling, and visual communication skills.
• Hands-on experience using AI video generation or AI-assisted video production tools.
• Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Cap Cut, or comparable platforms.
• Experience producing short-form content specifically for social media and digital audiences.
• Strong understanding of pacing, composition, transitions, sound design, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to write, refine, and iterate AI prompts to generate effective video and visual assets.
• Strong creative judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to translate creative direction into high-quality deliverables.
• Ability to combine experimentation with consistency and identify practical ways to incorporate new AI technologies into production workflows.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently in a remote environment.
• Approximately 1–3 years of relevant video editing or production experience is preferred.
