Associate Designer Girls Apparel

Job Title

We are a top kids’ clothing company specializing in licensed and exclusive label collaborations with major retailers throughout the United States.

Assist in the creation and development of seasonal outfit collections for the Walmart Big Girls licensed line.

Conduct research on current style, color, artwork, and market trends relevant to the target audience.

Generate and maintain outfit designs, color schemes, and presentations using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Work closely with Lead Designers, Illustrators, Merchandisers, and Product Development teams.

Aid in the evolution of design concepts that adhere to brand standards, store requirements, and seasonal fashions.

Evaluate samples and offer design input throughout the development phase.

Keep design files, artwork, and seasonal project details organized and up-to-date.

Support in obtaining approvals and making revisions to guarantee designs meet brand and consumer expectations.

At least 2 years of background in outfit design, preferably with a focus on kids’ or retail garments.

Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop software.

Solid grasp of fashion trends, color schemes, artwork, and outfit construction.

Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Adept at handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a dynamic setting.

Experience in licensed outfit design is a bonus.

Must reside in New York City.

Position is mainly in-person with some flexibility for remote work on Fridays.
